> “How does one contemplate the mark of the Tathāgata’s eyebrows? The two eyebrows, left and right, are shaped like the new moon. The hairs grow curling, their thinness and thickness perfectly fitting, curving in accordance with the moon’s shape. Their color is brilliant purple, the tips of the hairs are dark blue (nīla), with wondrous vaiḍūrya-like light whose color is beyond compare. The light of the eyebrows sweeps on both sides and disperses into the hair; having entered the hair, it ascends to the tips of the hair, where its light coils upward, its colors of bees, kingfishers, and peacocks having no equal. It is like aggregated ink compared to the light of vaiḍūrya. It also hangs downward, emerges from the occipital bone, meanders clockwise, and circles the light four times. Within each line appears a transformation Buddha, with two bodhisattvas and two bhikṣus flanking him to the left and right, all standing on the filaments of a lotus, distinct and lovely, many times surpassing the previous ones. In the three lines beneath the eyebrows and within the eye sockets, four lights—blue, yellow, red, and white—whirl into being, flaring upward into the eyebrow bone and emerging from the tips of the eyebrow hairs in the same manner as before. Emerging from the occipital bone, they circle the light four times, with the four colors distinct: the yellow transformation Buddha has a golden-yellow body; the white transformation Buddha has a silver-white body; the blue transformation Buddha has a pure-gold-colored body; the red transformation Buddha has a musāragalva-colored body. Revolving clockwise in this manner, they are even more distinct and many times surpass the previous ones.”
