> “Furthermore, hundreds of billions of boundless spirits and deities reflectively appear in the halo, preaching filial duty to the people of Jambudvīpa. When these phantom people see the crowds, they all say of their own accord: ‘I was your father, I was your mother; in boundless lifetimes, your name was such-and-such, and my name was such-and-such.’ Boundless multitudes such as these, being objects of reverence for sentient beings, are seen distinctly in the Buddha's halo like a painting or like seeing one's face in a mirror. Such marks are called the halo. It encircles the Buddha's neck, extending one fathom upward, one fathom downward, one fathom to the left, and one fathom to the right, fully reaching eight feet. From within the halo flow transformation Buddhas. The things that all sentient beings long to see all appear clearly within it. Above the halo is a golden radiance, majestically manifest and delightful like a cintāmaṇi jewel. Amid the cintāmaṇi radiance, flowering trees are phantasmally produced; those trees are golden, and hundreds of thousands of tens of millions of jambūnada-gold \[treasures\] cannot compare to them. Beneath each tree is a precious lotus, and upon the lotus is a transformation Buddha of pure yellow gold, covered overhead as if by a lapis lazuli canopy, bringing into clear relief his golden countenance with distinct boundaries. Such transformation images are boundless in number.
