> At that time, the Tathāgata manifested even more clearly the eighty minor marks. Golden radiant light issued from the white curl \[between his brows\], each beam illuminating the ten directions and transforming into Buddhas. These Bhagavats were countless walking, countless standing, countless sitting, and countless reclining. These transformation Buddhas spoke of great benevolence and compassion; they taught the thirty-seven factors that assist awakening, the six pāramitās, and the Tathāgata's ten powers, fearlessnesses, and eighteen unshared dharmas. When this sign appeared, one hundred million Śākyas, with minds free of attachment, awakened to the forbearance of the non-arising of dharmas. The Buddha bestowed a prophecy upon them: “In a future age, after an incalculable number of kalpas, you shall become Buddhas named Tathāgata Samādhi-dhvaja-jina, Worthy of Offerings, Right and Completely Awakened, complete with the ten titles. In succession, there will be one hundred million of you who become Buddhas. When those Buddhas appear, the Sahā world will be pure and adorned, precisely equal to and no different from the World of the Victorious Banner of the Sages and the Buddha-realm of Light. When these bodhisattvas attain the Buddha path, their lands will have no violation of precepts, no distraction of mind, and no name of evil. They will be purely bodhisattvas; and though there will be śrāvakas, they will not disparage the Great Vehicle.” Thereupon, hearing the Buddha's prophecy, the Śākya sons were filled with great joy. They each took off their necklaces and scattered them over the Buddha. These necklaces remained above the Buddha and transformed into flowering trees; each flowering tree had flowers like the sands of the Ganges; upon each flower was a jewelled tower like the sands of the Ganges; within each tower was a transformation Buddha like the sands of the Ganges; and each transformation Buddha expounded the eighty-four thousand pāramitās.
