> The Buddha told Ānanda: "Contemplating in this manner is called right contemplation. If one contemplates otherwise, it is called wrong contemplation. If other marks appear, emerging as different realms, one should quickly eliminate them. One who performs this contemplation eliminates the sins of birth and death spanning sixty koṭis of kalpas, and is also called one who sees the Buddha. In future ages, because their mental visualization is sharp, they will encounter the thousand Buddha Bhagavats of the Bhadrakalpa and have them as their upādhyāyas, sequentially going forth from the household life within the Buddhadharma. At the place of each Buddha, they will see the marks of the Buddha's body clearly and distinctly; hearing the Buddhas preach the Dharma, they will remember and retain it without forgetting; and at the place of the Buddha Prabhāsa in the Nakṣatrakalpa, they will receive a prediction in his presence. If contemplating the image with a coarse mind still yields such immeasurable merit, how much more so fixing mindfulness to contemplate the light of the white curl mark between the Buddha's brows?" When this was spoken, the Great Brahmā King and immeasurable Brahmā hosts took heavenly flowers and scattered them in offering upon the Bhagavat, and removed their personal necklaces to offer to the Buddha. The flowers hovered in the air like clouds, and the offered necklaces transformed into a golden terrace. Within the golden terrace there was golden light, and the light transformed into venerable images of the seven Buddhas, dignified, wondrous, and fully endowed with all physical marks.
