Feeding one million srotāpannas is not as good as feeding one sakṛdāgāmin. Feeding ten million sakṛdāgāmins is not as good as feeding one anāgāmin. Feeding one hundred million anāgāmins is not as good as feeding one arhat. Feeding one billion arhats is not as good as feeding one pratyekabuddha. Feeding ten billion pratyekabuddhas is not as good as saving one's two parents of this lifetime with the teachings of the Three Honored Ones. Teaching one's parents a hundred billion times is not as good as feeding one Buddha—studying and vowing to seek buddhahood in order to deliver sentient beings. The merit of feeding a good person is most deep and weighty.
