A heavenly spirit offered jade-like women to the Buddha, wishing thereby to test the Buddha's mind and observe the Buddha's Way. The Buddha said: "Skin bags of myriad foul things, why have you come? Though you may please the worldly, it is difficult to move one of the six supernormal powers. Begone! I have no use for you." The heavenly spirit respected the Buddha all the more and consequently inquired about the meaning of the Way; the Buddha explained it for him, and he immediately attained srotāpanna."
