Or, if in the place where the maṇḍala is made there are faults of the earth that cannot be removed, merely consecrating it with mantras to make it pure will also be suitable for recitation practice. If constructing a maṇḍala for an urgent matter, to expel demonic possession, or to administer abhiṣeka to oneself, when making the maṇḍala one need not carefully select the ground, but should make it according to what is appropriate.
