2.4.115.1

So evaṃ pabbajito samāno bhikkhūnaṃ sikkhāsājīvasamāpanno pāṇātipātaṃ pahāya pāṇātipātā paṭivirato hoti nihitadaṇḍo nihitasattho lajjī dayāpanno sabbapāṇabhūtahitānukampī viharati.

Having thus gone forth and undertaken the training and livelihood of bhikkhus, having abandoned the destruction of life, he abstains from the destruction of life; with rod laid down, with weapon laid down, conscientious, compassionate, he dwells sympathetic to the welfare of all living beings.
