38.7.1
Tamonudaṃ pāragataṃ mahesiṃ,
Dispeller of darkness, the great seer has crossed over:
38.7.2
Taṃ pattipattaṃ vasimaṃ anāsavaṃ;
the attained, the master, the undefiled.
38.7.3
Visantaraṃ taṇhakkhaye vimuttaṃ,
In the midst of it all,
he is freed in the ending of craving;
38.7.4
Taṃ ve muniṃ antimadehadhāriṃ;
that sage bears his final body.
38.7.5
Mārañjahaṃ brūmi jarāya pāraguṃ.
He has disposed of Māra, I declare,
and gone beyond old age.
