3.9.2.1

Bhāradvājo māṇavo evamāha:

'We are accomplished in all the knowledge propounded by those who are acquainted with the three Vedas, we are padakas (versed in the metre), veyyâkaranas (grammarians?), and equal to our teachers in recitation (gappa)[2]. (595)

3.9.2.2

“yato kho, bho, ubhato sujāto hoti mātito ca pitito ca saṃsuddhagahaṇiko yāva sattamā pitāmahayugā akkhitto anupakkuṭṭho jātivādena,

ettāvatā kho bho brāhmaṇo hotī”ti.
