The Áín i Akbari (Blochmann, Jarrett) 139

- **Language:** English

### [139](https://indike.org/pramana/in.darkages.admin.ain-i-akbari~en-blochmann-jarrett.139)

The beginning is made with country-bred camels, of which five qatárs are daily inspected. Those pançadis (officers in charge of five hundred camels) come first who are oldest. The Head Darogah has the permission to parade before His Majesty a qatar of excellent Bughdis and Jammazahs. Then come the Bughdis, and after them the Jammázahs, the G’hurds, the Loks, and all other camels. The commencement of the musters takes place on Fridays, on which day double the usual number marches past. The precedence of camels is determined by their value.
