On discovering his body, he fetched a deep sob, and said, "I have never wished to see you in that condition." The Prince raising with pain his dying eyes, answered, "nor did I ever wish to see you in that condition, neither," and expired. The Emperor exceedingly affected by such a sight, retired to his own apartment, taking with him the young orphans, his nephews.
