(52) / (This is an ardhabhrama) / O Devī, you are the surpassing, excellent refuge, the goal of this world—of the triad of worlds. The meaning is: you are the shelter. Of what kind? Steadfast, unfailing; and supreme: the meaning is, superior to all. Likewise, here in this world, being 'asatārā'—'sattārā' means 'with effort (tāra)', and 'asatārā' means 'without effort'—you cross over, that is, you destroy without effort delusion, the enemy. How? By having established an abode devoid of fear: in which there is no place for the flavor of terror, that is, for anxious obsession. It is called ardhabhrama because it turns halfway in comparison to a sarvatobhadra.
