The king, who had been standing hidden, having heard the entire account, also came into the royal assembly and, bowing down like a stick before the Kāpālika, said: 'O king of yogins, like Rudra, intent on helping others, save me, a great sinner, by bestowing life upon my slain son.' The Kāpālika said: 'O king, do not fear. Your son will not die. By Śiva's grace he will return home. But send the sacrificial articles with Buddhisāgara to the cremation ground.' Thereupon the king dispatched Buddhisāgara, saying, 'Do everything just as the Kāpālika has directed.'
