> Sensual pleasures are transient in nature and of many kinds, and from them alone comes this worldly existence; / then for the sake of what, O people, do you wander about here? Enough with these exertions! / Let the mind, purified by the calming of hundreds of snares of longing, be concentrated / in its own abode, beyond the sway of desire's arising, if our words are to be trusted.
> Some are blessed, my friend, whose entanglements in the bonds of worldly existence are broken, / who dwell within the forest, their inner hearts free of the blazing poison of sense objects, / who pass the night delightful with the expansive sky brightened by the autumn moonlight, / taking refuge only in contemplation of the mass of their good deeds.
