kṛtvā tu śulbapiṣṭiṃ nipātyate nāgavaṅgaśaṅkātaḥ /
tasmindoṣān muktvā nipatati śuddhas tathā sūtaḥ //
Having made a paste with copper, it is distilled because of suspicion of lead and tin; / having abandoned defects in that, pure mercury then distils.
