> Incompatible food may cause eruptions, swelling, intoxication, abscesses, abdominal swelling, consumption, loss of radiance, strength, memory, intellect, the sense organs, and the mind; / it may cause fever, bleeding disorders, the eight great diseases, and, like poison, death.
> \[If seen\] on the forehead or the head of the bladder, he does not live past six months.
> Then it causes obstruction of urine, pain, and itching.
> And sometimes, displacing the bladder from its place, it makes it raised like a fetus, thick, and fluctuant.
> There, there are colic, throbbing, burning, twisting sensations, and dripping of urine drop by drop.
> And when the bladder is pressed, there is flow in a stream. Both forms of this vātabasti are difficult to cure; even between the two, the second, in which vāta is dominant, is more difficult to cure.
> One should administer the treatment for intoxication appropriately.
> One should recognize it as severe insanity; the physician should abandon him.
