vidyāṃ putraṃ dravyajātaṃ madaṃ ca dagdhvā ca me dehi pādābjamūle /
sadvaiṣṇavāsahamānasvarūpaṃ dagdhvā mātsaryaṃ pāhi māṃ veṅkaṭeśa //
Having burned away [pride in] learning, sons, multitude of wealth, and arrogance, give me [a place] at the base of your lotus feet; / having burned away malice whose nature is intolerance toward true Vaiṣṇavas, protect me, O Veṅkaṭeśa!
3.25.22
mantraṃ ca me dehi nidānamūrte yenaiva me syāttava saṃgaśca bhūyaḥ /
nānyaṃ vṛṇe tava pādābjasaṃgāttadeva me dehi mama prasannaḥ //
And give me a mantra, O embodiment of the primal cause, by which my association with you may occur again and again; / I choose nothing else other than contact with your lotus feet; being pleased with me, give me only that!

takārasaktaṃ svarśamantaḥ sthayuktamādyanta oṃkārasamanvitaṃ ca //
joined with the letter e, joined with the first semivowel, endowed with a sibilant in an equilateral triangle, / attached to the letter ta, joined with a stop and a semivowel, and endowed with the syllable Oṃ at the beginning and end.'
3.25.26
anena mantreṇa tavepsitaṃ ca bhaveddhi kanye nāntra vicāryamasti /
evaṃ sa uktvā śrīnivāso haristu pratīkavaddarśayāmāsa rūpam //

tasmindine brāhmaṇādīṃśca sarvānsaṃtarpayāmāsa ca ṣaḍrasānnaiḥ //
Bowing down to Śrīnivāsa, the lady dwelt near the Svāmisaras lake; / on that day, she satiated all the brahmins and others with food having the six tastes.
3.25.28
sāyaṅkāle śrīnivāsasya dṛṣṭvā utsāharūpaiḥ śrīnivāsapratīkaiḥ /

In the evening, having seen Śrīnivāsa, together with the festive manifestations representing Śrīnivāsa, / the lady, having fully bowed down with devotion, performed a thorough circumambulation of Śrīnivāsa.
3.25.29
nanarta devī supratīkasya cāgre lajjāṃ tyaktvā jaya deveti coktvā /
ānṛttakāle ca hareśca vaktraṃ dṛṣṭvā ca dṛṣṭyā tu paraṃ nanarta //
The lady danced before the auspicious image, abandoning shame and proclaiming, 'Victory, O Lord!' / And while dancing, gazing at the face of Hari with her eyes, she danced exceedingly.
3.25.30
mamādya gātraṃ pāvitaṃ śrīnivāsa mamādya netraṃ saphalaṃ saṃbabhūva /
mamādya pādau sārthakau caiva jātau pradakṣiṇaṃ śrīnivāseśa kṛtvā //
'Today my body is purified, O Śrīnivāsa! Today my eyes have become fruitful! / Today my feet have become meaningful, having performed circumambulation, O Lord Śrīnivāsa!
3.25.31
hastau ca me sārthakāvadya jātau agre kṛtvā hastaśabdaṃ murāreḥ /
evaṃ vadantī prīṇayantī ca devaṃ jagāmasā stotravacaḥ kadambaiḥ //
And my two hands have become meaningful today, having clapped my hands in front of Murāri!' / Speaking thus and pleasing the Lord, she departed with clusters of words of praise.
3.25.32
devāstadā dunduṃbhayo vinedire tanmastake puṣpavṛṣṭiṃ ca cakruḥ /
tasminkāle ubhayoḥ pārśvayośca nṛtyaṃ cakrurdevatāvāranāryaḥ //
Then the gods sounded their kettledrums and showered flowers upon her head; / at that time, celestial courtezans danced on both sides.
3.25.33
tathaiva tāstalaśabdaṃ ca kṛtvā tadā sarvā namanaṃ cāpi cakruḥ /
ānandaśaile sarvadā tvitthameva sā sarvadā nartayantī ca vīndra //

3.25.34
ānandamagnā sāpi devī jagāma svamāśramaṃ jaigiṣavyeṇa sārdham /
yātrāmevaṃ ye na kurvanti vīndra teṣāṃ ca sarvaṃ niṣphalaṃ cāhurāryāḥ //
Immersed in bliss, that lady also went to her hermitage together with Jaigīṣavya; / the noble declare that for those who do not perform the pilgrimage in this manner, O best of birds, everything is fruitless.
3.25.35

mantrasyārthaṃ brūhi me jaigiṣavya mantrāvṛttiṃ kurvatāṃ vai phalāya //
Having gone to the hermitage together with Jaigīṣavya, she asked her guru about the mantra of Veṅkaṭeśa: / 'Tell me the meaning of the mantra, O Jaigīṣavya, for the fruit of those who repeat the mantra.'

3.25.37
viti hyuttamavācī syādyeti jñānamudāhṛtam /
kakāraḥ sukhavācī syāṭṭeti cittamudāhṛtam //
"Vi" signifies the supreme; "ya" is declared to be knowledge; / the letter "ka" signifies happiness; "ṭa" is declared to be the mind.

3.25.41
viśiṣṭajñānarūpatvādvyeti muktāḥ sadā smṛtāḥ /
muktānāṃ ca samūhastu vyaṅkaṭeti prakīrtitaḥ //

3.25.42
sadā muktasamūhānāmīśatvādvyaṅkaṭābhidhaḥ /
liṅgadehamato jīvo vyaṅkaṭeti samāhṛtaḥ //

liṅgānāṃ caiva svāmitvādvyaṅkaṭeśeti saṃjñitaḥ /
daityānāṃ ca samūhāstu jñānādividhurā yataḥ /
ato daityasamūhastu vyaṅkaṭeti prakīrtitaḥ //
Because he is the master of subtle bodies, he is named Veṅkaṭeśa; / and because the hosts of Daityas are devoid of knowledge and the like, / therefore the host of Daityas is proclaimed to be "vyaṅkaṭa".
3.25.44
teṣāṃ saṃharaṇe īśastvato vyaṅkaṭanāmakaḥ /
ānandasya viruddhatvātkāmakrodhādayo guṇāḥ //
Because he is the Lord in destroying them, he is named Vyaṅkaṭa; / because they are opposed to bliss, the qualities such as desire and anger
3.25.45
vyaṅkaṭā iti saṃproktāsteṣāṃ nāśayitā prabhuḥ /
atastu vyaṅkaṭeśākhya evaṃ jñātvā japaṃ kuru //
are called "vyaṅkaṭas"; the Lord is the destroyer of them; / therefore he is named Veṅkaṭeśa. Knowing this, perform the repetition [of the mantra]!'
3.25.46
