1.1.4.82
brahmaṇā haṃsarūpeṇa viṣṇunā kroḍarūpiṇā ..

the crown and feet of which could not be seen, I was bowed to with devotion. (41)
1.1.4.84
tataḥ prasannaḥ pratyakṣastasyāṃ varamabhīpsitam ..
Then, being pleased and manifest before them, on that [occasion] I granted
1.1.4.85
prādāṃ jagattrayasyāsya saṃrakṣāyāṃ tu kauśalam .. 42 ..
the desired boon, which was skill in protecting these three worlds. (42)
1.1.4.86
prārthitaśca punastābhyāmaruṇācalasaṃjñayā ..
And I was requested again by both of them under the name Aruṇācala:"

sarvapāpanivṛttyarthaṃ sarvalokahitāya ca .. 45 ..
for the removal of all sin and for the welfare of all the worlds."
1.1.4.92
iti vācaṃ samākarṇya niṣkalātkathitāṃ śivāt ..
Having heard this speech uttered by the formless Śiva,
1.1.4.93
tatheti sahasā devī gaṃtuṃ samupacakrame .. 46 ..
saying "So be it," the goddess at once set out to go.
1.1.4.94
atha devānṛṣīnsarvānpaścātsevārthamāgatān ..
Then to all the gods and seers who had come behind to serve her,
1.1.4.95
avādīdaṃbikālokya snehapūrṇena cakṣuṣā .. 47 ..
Ambikā spoke, looking at them with an eye full of affection:

"Stay right here, O gods and sages of firm vows,
1.1.4.97
niyamāṃścādhitiṣṭhaṃtaḥ kaṃpārodhasi pāvane .. 48 ..

Destroying all sins and increasing all good fortune,
1.1.4.99
pūjyatāṃ saikataṃ liṃgaṃ kucakaṃkaṇalāṃchanam .. 49 ..
let the earthen liṅga marked by breast and bracelet be worshipped.
1.1.4.100
ahaṃ ca niṣkalaṃ rūpamāsthāyaitaddivāniśam ..
And taking recourse to this formless nature day and night,
1.1.4.101
ārādhayāmi maṃtreṇa śoṇeśvaraṃ varapradam .. 1.3.1.4.50 ..
I worship Śoṇeśvara, the granter of boons, with a mantra.
1.1.4.102
mattapaścaraṇālloke maddharmaparipālanāt ..
From the performance of my tapas in the world, from the protection of my dharma,
1.1.4.103
malliṃgadarśanāccaiva sidhyaṃtviṣṭavibhūtayaḥ .. .. 51 ..
and from the darśana of my liṅga, let desired prosperities be attained.
1.1.4.104
sarvakāmapradānena kāmākṣīmiti kāmataḥ ..
Because of granting all desires, and out of grace, as Kāmākṣī,

having gone to the Aruṇa mountain, I will carry out his command.

assembled together, you will see me later, having obtained my boon."
1.1.4.110
iti sarvānvisṛjyāśu sadbhaktānpādasevinaḥ ..
