na namaṃti gaṇeśaṃ ca durgāṃ caiva tathāvidhām..
kleśabhājo bhaviṣyati nātra kāryā vicāraṇā.. 10.75 ..
Those who do not bow to Gaṇeśa, and likewise to Durgā, / will become partakers of suffering; there should be no deliberation about this.
1.3.8.76
yūyaṃ sarve tvadharmiṣṭhāḥ stabdhāḥ paṃḍitamāninaḥ..
kāryākāryamavijñāya kevalaṃ mānamohitāḥ.. 10.76 ..
You all are completely unrighteous, stubborn, thinking yourselves learned, / not knowing what should and should not be done, completely deluded by pride.
1.3.8.77
tasmātkālamukhe sarve patitā nātra saṃśayaḥ..
sarve śrutiparā yūyamiṃdrādyā devatāgaṇāḥ.. 10.77 ..
Therefore, all have fallen into the mouth of Death; of this there is no doubt. / All of you, the hosts of deities headed by Indra, are intent on the Vedic texts,
1.3.8.78
prarocanaparāḥ sarve kṣudrāśceṃdrādayo vṛthā..
nātmānaṃ ca prapaṃcena vetsi tvaṃ hi śacīpate.. 10.78 ..
Yet, [being] petty, Indra and the rest are all vainly devoted to mere cajolery. / Indeed, O lord of Śacī, you do not know yourself in this phenomenal world.
1.3.8.79
kṛtaḥ prayatno hi mahānamṛtārthaṃ tvayā śaṭha..
aśvamedhaśatenaiva yadrājyaṃ prāptavānasi..
api tacca parādhīna tanna jānāsi durmate.. 10.79 ..
A great effort was indeed made by you for the sake of nectar, you villain! / The kingdom that you attained solely through a hundred horse-sacrifices— / even that is dependent on others, yet you do not understand it, O evil-minded one!
1.3.8.80
yairvadavākyaistvaṃ mūḍha saṃstuto'si tapasvibhiḥ..
te mūḍhāsto ṣayaṃti tvāṃ tattadrāgaparāyaṇāḥ.. 10.80 ..
The Vedic words by which you have been praised by ascetics, O fool— / those fools, intent on their respective passions, merely flatter you.
1.3.8.81
viṣṇo tvaṃ ca pakṣapātānna jānāsi hitāhitam..
kecidadhatāstvayā viṣṇo rakṣitāścaiva kecana.. 10.81 ..
And you, O Viṣṇu, because of partiality, do not distinguish between good and bad. / Some were struck down by you, O Viṣṇu, and some were protected.
1.3.8.82
icchāyuktastvamatraiva sadā bālakaceṣṭitaḥ..
ye'nye ca lokapāḥ sarve teṣāṃ vārtā kutastviha.. 10.82 ..
Possessed of desire here, your behavior is always like that of a child. / As for the others who are world-guardians, what need is there to speak of them here?
1.3.8.83
anyathā hi kṛte hyarthe anyathātvaṃ bhaviṣyati..
kāryasiddhirbhavedyena bhavadbhirvismṛtaṃ ca tat.. 10.83 ..
For if an action is performed incorrectly, contrary results will ensue. / That by which success in an undertaking would arise has been forgotten by you.
1.3.8.84
yenādya rakṣitāḥ sarve kālakūṭamahābhayāt..
yena nīlīkṛto viṣṇuryena sarve parājitāḥ.. 10.84 ..
The one by whom all were protected today from the great terror of the Kālakūṭa poison, / by whom Viṣṇu was turned blue, by whom all were subdued,
1.3.8.85
lokā bhasmīkṛtā yena tasmādyenāpi rakṣitāḥ..
tasyārccanāvidhiḥ kāryo gaṇeśasya mahātmanaḥ.. 10.85 ..
By whom the worlds were reduced to ashes, and yet by whom they were also preserved— / the rite of worshipping that great-souled Gaṇeśa must be performed.
1.3.8.86
karmāraṃbhe tu vighneśaṃ ye nārcaṃti gaṇādhipam..
kāryasiddhirna teṣāṃ vai bhavettu bhavatāṃ yathā.. 10.86 ..
Those who do not worship the lord of obstacles, the commander of the gaṇas, at the beginning of an undertaking / will surely have no success in their enterprise, just like you."

etanmaheśasya vaco niśamya surāsurāḥ kiṃnaracāraṇāśca..
pūjāvidhānaṃ paramārthato'pi papracchurenaṃ ca tadā girīśam.. 10.87 ..
Hearing this speech of the great lord, the gods and demons, Kinnaras and Cāraṇas, / then asked that Lord of the Mountain about the ritual procedure of worship in its true reality. 10.87
