Then, while the sages were praising, a great rain of flowers was falling, / and the drums of the gods were sounding, Tryambaka took her hand.
1.4.24.82
devo devīṃ samālokya salajjāṃ himaśailajām..
na tṛpyati na cāhlādatsā ca devāṃ vṛṣadhvajam.. 26.82 ..

1.4.24.83
tatra brahmādimunayo devīmadbhutarūpiṇīm..
paśyaṃtaḥ śaraṇaṃ jagmurmanasā parameśvaram.. 26.83 ..
There the sages, Brahmā and others, looking upon the goddess of wondrous form, / mentally sought refuge in the Supreme Lord:
1.4.24.84
mā muhyāma pārvatīṃ ca yathā nāradaparvatau..
tatastathaiva taccakre sarveṣāmīpsitaṃ vacaḥ.. 26.84 ..
“May we not be infatuated with Pārvatī as were Nārada and Parvata!” / Then he fulfilled that desired prayer of them all accordingly.

tato devaiśca munibhiḥ saṃstutaḥ parameśvaraḥ..
praviveśa śubhāṃ vedīṃ mūrtimajjvalanāśritām.. 26.85 ..
Then, praised by the gods and sages, the Supreme Lord
entered the auspicious altar, which was attended by the embodied fire.
1.4.24.86
vedhāḥ śrutīritairmaṃ trairmūrtimadbhirupasthitaiḥ..
mūrtamagniṃ juhāva triḥ parikramya ca taṃ haraḥ.. 26.86 ..
With the embodied Vedic hymns recited and present, Brahmā made offerings to the embodied fire;
and Hara circumambulated it three times.

kiṃcitprārthaya dāsyāmi prāha viṣṇustato varam..
tvayi bhaktirdṛḍhā me'stu sa ca taddurlabhaṃ dadau.. 26.89 ..
Ask for something, and I will grant it." Then Viṣṇu spoke his boon:
"May I have firm devotion to you." And he granted that rare gift.
1.4.24.90
dadatuḥ sṛṣṭisaṃrakṣāṃ brahmaṇe dakṣiṇāmubhau..
agnaye yajñabhāgāṃśca prītau harajanārdanau.. 26.90 ..
Both [Hara and Umā] gave Brahmā the preservation of creation as a priestly fee,
and portions of the sacrifice to Agni, both Hara and Janārdana being delighted.
1.4.24.91
bhṛgvādīnāṃ tato dattvā śrutirakṣaṇadakṣiṇām..
tato gītaiśca nṛtyaiśca bhojanaiśca yathepsitaiḥ.. 26.91 ..
Then, having given the priestly fee for preserving the Vedas to Bhṛgu and the others,
with songs, dances, and desired feasts,
1.4.24.92
mahotsavairanekaiśca vismayaṃ samapadyata..
visṛjya lokaṃ taṃ sarvaṃ kimicchādānakairbhavaḥ.. 26.92 ..
and with many great festivals, astonishment was produced.
Dismissing all those people with gifts given according to their desires, Bhava,
1.4.24.93
sarasvatyā ca pitarau devyāścā''śvāsya duḥkhitau..
āmaṃtrya himaśaileṃdraṃ brahmaṇaṃ ca sakeśavam.. 26.93 ..
