Whose welfare is indeed assured by you, who have shaken off all sins.

praṇamāmi ca vaḥ sarvānmanobuddhisamādhibhiḥ ..
And I bow down to all of you with mind, intellect, and profound concentration,
1.4.49.102
tapo vidyā ca vṛttaṃ ca yato vārddhakyakāraṇam..49..
Since austerity, sacred learning, and conduct are the cause of seniority.
1.4.49.103
varaṃ matto vṛṇīdhvaṃ ca durlabhaṃ yaṃ hṛdīcchata..
Choose from me a boon, whatever rare thing you desire in your heart;
1.4.49.104
yūyaṃ svayaṃ hi varadā matsaṃgo māstu niṣphalaḥ..1.2.51.50..

Hearing these words of the sun, those excellent twice-born rejoiced,
1.4.49.109
saṃpūjya parayā bhaktyā pādyārghyastutivaṃdanaiḥ ..
And having worshipped [him] with supreme devotion by means of foot-water, respectful offerings, praises, and salutations,

Today our home has borne fruit, having met with you, O Lord of Rays!
1.4.49.117
varaṃ yadi pradātāsi tadenaṃ pravṛṇīmahe ..
If you are to grant a boon, then we choose this:
1.4.49.118
āsmākīnamidaṃ sthānaṃ na hi tyājyaṃ kathaṃcana .. 57 ..
This place of ours must never be abandoned in any way."

Leprosy and other ailments, I shall destroy for those who worship me, residing here.
1.4.49.126
yo māmatra sthitaṃ cāpi pūjayiṣyati mānavaḥ ..
And whatever human being shall worship me stationed here,
1.4.49.127
sūryalokamivāgamya pūjāṃ tasya bhajāmyaham .. 61 ..
I accept his worship just as if he had come to the world of the sun."
1.4.49.128
.. śrīnārada uvāca .. ..
Śrī Nārada said:
1.4.49.129
evamukte bhagavatā hārītādyā dvijottamāḥ ..
When this was spoken by the Lord, the excellent twice-born, Hārīta and the others,
