16.15.1
.. īśvara uvāca .. ..
tasyāgneye tu deveśi aruṇena pratiṣṭhitam..
dhanuṣāṃ ca traye tatra siddhaliṃgasamīpataḥ ..1..
Īśvara said: / To the south-east of it, O queen of the gods, [a liṅga] was established by Aruṇa / at a distance of three bows from that Siddha-liṅga.
16.15.2
sūryasārathinā tatra liṃgaṃ devipratiṣṭhitam..
kalau pāpaharaṃnāma darśanātpāpanāśanam .. 2 ..
A liṅga was established there by the charioteer of the Sun, O goddess; / in the Kali [age] it is named Pāpahara, destroying sins by its very sight.
16.15.3
caitramāsa trayodaśyāṃ śuklāyāṃ varavarṇini ..
pūjayedvidhivadbhaktyā pauṃḍarīkaphalaṃ labhet .. 3 ..
On the thirteenth day of the bright fortnight in the month of Caitra, O woman of excellent complexion, / one who worships it according to rule with devotion attains the fruit of the Pauṇḍarīka sacrifice.

iti śrīskāṃde mahāpurāṇa ekāśītisāhasryāṃ saṃhitāyāṃ saptame prabhāsakhaṃḍe prathame prabhāsakṣetramāhātmye pāpanāśanotpattivarṇanaṃnāma paṃcadaśo'dhyāyaḥ .. 15 ..
Thus ends the fifteenth chapter, entitled 'Description of the Origin of Pāpanāśana', in the first [part], 'Māhātmya of Prabhāsakṣetra', of the seventh [book], Prabhāsakhaṇḍa, in the glorious Skanda Mahāpurāṇa, a compendium of eighty-one thousand [verses].
