tatraiva saṃsthitaṃ liṃgaṃ rukmavatyā pratiṣṭhitam..
sarvapāpopaśamanaṃ sarvakāmaphalapradam.. 1 ..
Īśvara said:
"Stationed right there is the liṅga installed by Rukmavatī,
quelling all sins and granting the fruit of all desires.
16.222.2
tatra snātvā mahātīrthe liṃgaṃ saṃplāvya yatnataḥ ..
viprebhyo dāpayedvittaṃ mucyate sarvapātakaiḥ .. 2 ..
Having bathed there in that great sacred ford and carefully poured water over the liṅga,
one should give wealth to brahmins; one is freed from all sins."

iti śrīskānde mahāpurāṇa ekāśītisāhasryāṃ saṃhitāyāṃ saptame prabhāsakhaṇḍe prathame prabhāsakṣetramāhātmye rukmavatīśvaramāhātmyavarṇanaṃnāma dvāviṃśatyuttaradviśatatamo'dhyāyaḥ .. 222 ..
Thus ends the two hundred and twenty-second chapter, entitled 'Description of the Glory of Rukmavatīśvara,' in the First [sub-section], the Prabhāsakṣetramāhātmya, of the Seventh Prabhāsakhaṇḍa in the glorious Skanda Mahāpurāṇa, a compendium of eighty-one thousand [verses].
