militvā tatra tu snānaṃ sahasraguṇitaṃ smṛtam ..
a ritual ablution there is declared to be multiplied a thousandfold.
3.1.46.146
nadīṣvetāsu yatsnānātphalaṃ puṃsāṃ bhavetkape .. 71 ..
Whatever fruit people attain from ritual ablution in those rivers, O monkey,
3.1.46.147
tatphalaṃ tava kuṃḍe'sminsnānātprāpnotyasaṃśayam ..
that fruit one undoubtedly attains from ritual ablution in this pool of yours.

3.1.46.150

his ancestors rejoice and drink streams of ghee.

Having heard this speech spoken by Rāma, O brahmins, the son of the wind,
3.1.46.158
uttare rāmanāthasya liṃgaṃ svenāhṛtaṃ mudā ..

Visible to all, it was wrapped by the monkey's tail;
3.1.46.161
haropi tatpucchajā taṃ bibharti ca valitrayam ..
even Hara bears the three folds produced by that tail.
3.1.46.162
taduttarāyāṃ kakubhi gaurīṃ saṃsthāpayanmudā .. 78 ..
In the northern quarter, he joyfully installed Gaurī.
3.1.46.163

Glorious Sūta said:
3.1.46.164
evaṃ vaḥ kathitaṃ viprā yadarthaṃ rāghaveṇa tu ...
Thus it has been related to you, O brahmins, why, indeed, by Rāghava
