therefore, O Soma, in this liṅga bearing your name, bearing the form of the crescent moon,
4.14.86
pratimāsaṃ paṃcadaśyāṃ śuklāyāṃ sarvagopyaham .. .. 42 ..

all that is done at Candreśvara leads to endless fruit.
4.14.94

When a new moon day falls on a Monday, O Soma, // 47

upāsya saṃdhyāṃ vidhivatkṛtasarvodaka kriyaḥ ..
having worshipped the twilight according to rule, and having performed all the water rites,

one should properly perform a śrāddha at the sacred fords near Candroda. // 51
4.14.105
āvāhanārghyarahitaṃ piṃḍāndadyātprayatnataḥ ..
Without the invocation and the guest water, one should carefully offer rice balls
4.14.106
vasurudrāditisutasvarūpapuruṣatrayam ..52..
to the three generations of ancestors who are in the nature of the Vasus, Rudras, and Ādityas, // 52
4.14.107
mātāmahāṃstathoddiśya tathānyānapi gotrajān ..
and dedicating them likewise to maternal grandfathers and to other members of the lineage,

and performing the śrāddha with faith at this sacred ford, delivers them all.
4.14.110
gayāyāṃ piṃḍadānena yathā tupyaṃti pūrvajāḥ .. 54 ..
Just as ancestors are satisfied by the offering of rice balls at Gayā, // 54
4.14.111
tathā caṃdrodakuṃḍe'tra śrāddhaistṛpyaṃti pūrvajāḥ ..
so ancestors are satisfied by śrāddhas here at the Candroda pool.
4.14.112
gayāyāṃ ca yathā mucyetsarvarṇātpitṛjānnaraḥ .. 55 ..
And just as a man at Gayā is released from all debts born of ancestors, // 55
4.14.113
tathā pramucyate carṇāccaṃdrode piṇḍadānataḥ ..
so he is completely released from debt by the offering of rice balls at Candroda.
4.14.114
yadā caṃdreśvaraṃ draṣṭuṃ yāyātkopi narottamaḥ..56..
Whenever any best of men goes to see Candreśvara, // 56
4.14.115
tadā nṛtyaṃti muditāstatpūrvaprapitāmahāḥ..
then his ancestors and great-grandfathers dance with joy:

ayaṃ caṃdrodatīrthesmiṃstarpaṇaṃ naḥ kariṣyati .. 57..
'He will make a water offering to us at this sacred ford Candroda!' // 57
4.14.117
asmākaṃ maṃdabhāgyatvādyadi naiva kariṣyati..
If due to our misfortune he does not make it at all,
4.14.118
tadātattīrtha saṃsparśādasmattṛptirbhaviṣyati.. 58..
then through contact with that sacred ford our satisfaction will come to pass.
4.14.119
spṛśennāpi yadā maṃdastadā drakṣyati tṛptaye..
Even if the indolent person does not touch it, he will gaze upon it for [our] satisfaction.
4.14.120
evaṃ śrāddhaṃ vidhāyātha spṛṣṭvā caṃdreśvaraṃ vratī..
Having thus performed the śrāddha and then touched Candreśvara, the observer of the vow,
4.14.121
saṃtarpya viprāṃśca yatīnkuryādvai pāraṇaṃ tataḥ..59..
having satisfied the brahmins and ascetics, should then break his fast.
4.14.122
evaṃ vrate kṛte kāśyāṃ sadarśe somavāsare..
When the vow is thus observed in Kāśī on a Monday with a new-moon day,

it dispels obstacles in the sacred field to attain liberating knowledge.
4.14.126
caṃdreśvaraṃ samabhyarcya yadyanyatrāpi saṃsthitaḥ ..
Having thoroughly worshipped Candreśvara, even if staying elsewhere,
4.14.127
aghaughapaṭalīṃ bhittvā somalokamavāpsyati ..62..
having pierced the veil of the flood of sins, he will reach the world of Soma.
4.14.128
kalau caṃdreśamahimā nābhāgyairavagamyate..
In the Kali age, the greatness of Candreśa is not comprehended by the unfortunate.
4.14.129
anyacca te pravakṣyāmi paraṃ guhyaṃ niśāpate .. 63..
And I shall tell you something else, a supreme secret, O lord of the night:
4.14.130

This seat of Siddhayogīśvara grants accomplishment to practitioners.

among Rākṣasas, Guhyakas, Yakṣas, Kiṃnaras, and mortals,
4.14.133

seventy million accomplished beings have attained perfection here before me.
4.14.134
ṣaṇmāsaṃ niyatāhāro dhyāyanviśveśvarīmiha..
Restricting his diet for six months and meditating upon Viśveśvarī here,
4.14.135
caṃdreśvarārcanāyātānsiddhānpaśyati so'gragān..66..
he sees the foremost siddhas who have arrived to worship Candreśvara.
4.14.136
siddhayogīśvarī sākṣādvaradā tasya jāyate ..
Siddhayogīśvarī manifestly becomes the granter of boons to him.

tavāpi mahatī siddhiḥ siddhayogīśvarīkṣaṇāt.. 67..
You too [attained] great perfection by beholding Siddhayogīśvarī.
4.14.138
saṃti pāṭhānyanekāni kṣitau sādhakasiddhaye..
There are many sacred seats on earth for the accomplishment of practitioners;
4.14.139
paraṃ yogīśvarī pīṭhādbhūpṛṣṭhenāśu siddhidam.. 68 ..
yet on the surface of the earth, none grants siddhi more swiftly than the seat of Yogīśvarī.
4.14.140
yatra caṃdreśvaraṃ liṃgaṃ tvayedaṃ sthāpitaṃ śaśin..
Where this Candreśvara liṅga has been established by you, O moon,

worship with devotion at the seat of Siddhayogīśvarī—
4.14.146
adṛṣṭarūpāṃ subhagāṃ piṃgalāṃ sarvasiddhidām ..
she of unseen form, auspicious, tawny-hued, granter of all accomplishments—
4.14.147
