16.366.1

The Lord said: / Then one should go, O great goddess, to the north of the Hiraṇyā, / to the divine abodes of perfections where great seers attained perfection. // 1

16.366.2

There are manifold liṅgas there, which cannot possibly be fully told; / yet one hundred and more liṅgas there are considered foremost. // 2

16.366.3

On the bank of the Vajriṇī, O goddess, there are nineteen liṅgas; / on the bank of the Nyaṅkumatī, O goddess, a thousand and two hundred more. // 3

16.366.4

Chiefly, O fair-hipped goddess, during the former Svāyambhuva manvantara, / on the bank of the Kapilā, O goddess, is an excellent [group] of sixty liṅgas. // 4

16.366.5

Along the Sarasvatī, moreover, the number of liṅgas there is beyond reckoning. / In this way, adorned with a garland of liṅgas, [she is] five-mouthed, O goddess. // 5

16.366.6

In Prabhāsa, O goddess, the Sarasvatī is said to possess five streams, / by whose waters the sacred field of twelve yojanas is intersected. // 6

16.366.7

The water arising anywhere therein, in step-wells and wells, / is to be understood as belonging to Sarasvatī; blessed are those who drink it. // 7

16.366.8

Bathed anywhere [in them], a person endowed with full faith / obtains the fruit of a ritual ablution in the Sarasvatī; of this there is no doubt. // 8

16.366.9

That which is declared to be the sparśaliṅga, renowned as the glorious Someśa, / the liṅgas of the sacred field of Prabhāsa are indeed a portion of Śiva proceeding from it. // 9

16.366.10

Whichever liṅga located in the midst of the sacred field one worships, / understanding it to be the glorious Someśa, Someśa is thereby worshipped. // 10

16.366.365

Thus ends the three hundred and sixty-fifth chapter, titled "Description of the Māhātmya of the Miscellaneous Liṅgas of the Sacred Field," in the first [part], the Prabhāsakṣetramāhātmya, of the seventh [section], the Prabhāsakhaṇḍa, in the glorious Skanda Mahāpurāṇa, a collection of eighty-one thousand [verses].
