Chapter 152

6.3.152.1

The venerable Mārkaṇḍeya said: / Then one should go, O protector of the earth, to the supreme Bhārgaleśvara, / to Śaṅkara, the life-breath of the world, who destroys sins merely upon being remembered.

6.3.152.2

A person who bathes at that sacred ford and worships the Supreme Lord / obtains the fruit of an aśvamedha sacrifice.

6.3.152.3

Whoever abandons their life at that sacred ford, / their path is without return from Rudra's realm; there is no doubt.

6.3.152.3_2

Thus ends the one hundred and fifty-second chapter, named "Description of the Greatness of the Bhārgaleśvara Sacred Ford", in the Revākhaṇḍa of the fifth [khaṇḍa], the Āvantyakhaṇḍa, in the Skandapurāṇa comprising eighty-one thousand verses.
