sudyumnas tu strīpūrvakatvād rājyabhāgaṃ na lebhe ||
In consequence of his having been formerly a female, Sudyumna was excluded from any share in his paternal dominions; but his father, at the suggestion of Vaśisht́ha, bestowed upon him the city Pratisht́hána, and he gave it to Purúravas.

tatpitrā tu vasiṣṭhavacanāt pratiṣṭhānaṃ nāma nagaraṃ sudyumnāya dattaṃ tac cāsau purūravase prādāt ||
