> Because it has been graciously taught by the masters in this way, because it will be said in the next verse here, "those who... in the mind," and because no specific location is mentioned here, it is understood that this is meditation on her form situated in the foundation lotus. Nor is there any contradiction between earlier and later statements, since just like a specific practice of meditation, a specific base is also intended for a specific result. Earlier, meditation for omniscience was taught for everyone; now, the fruit of duty and the rest is stated for each individual seed syllable—thus the distinction is established. The foundation lotus is the seat of Kāmagiri and the abode of Kāmeśvarī; even in the Śrīsaubhāgyamārga this meaning is corroborated. O Bhāratī! Those who, even for an instant, see this sky—the atmosphere—as if covered by a mass of vermilion dust, and the earth as if submerged in an expanse of lac juice, flooded by a torrent of liquid red alaktaka. By what? "By your radiance"—by the spreading luster of your divine body spreading everywhere, you who are intensely red in color. Having done what? "With an undivided mind," having become one-pointed in thought; that is to say, having sat properly upon one's seat, having removed faults through breath controls, and having withdrawn the senses along with the mind from their objects. Or: "with an undivided mind" means ascertaining, through the teacher, scriptures, and direct experience, that one's own self is indeed you in that form.
