yadārohasya vedāntā vandivaitālikāḥ svayam ||
Homage to you, O sandal, the bridge over the ocean of saṃsāra for men, / for whose ascent the Upaniṣads themselves / are the bards and heralds.
9.2

caraṇakamalasevāsaukhyasāmrājyabhājāṃ prathamavihitabhāgāṃ pādukāmādriyethāḥ ||
Intending to receive appropriately in the morning, O Raṅganātha, / Brahmā, Śiva, Sanaka, and others held back in the outer courtyard, / you should show honor to the sandal, which has the first assigned share / among those who enjoy the sovereign bliss of serving your lotus feet.

ardhonmeṣādadhikasubhagāmardhanidrānuṣaṅgāṃ nābhīpadme tava nayanayornātha paśyantu śobhām ||
May the sandal, its turn arrived, resort to the foot attended by Padmā; / your attendants worthy of the morning assembly have drawn near; / O Lord, let them behold upon the lotus of your navel the beauty of your eyes / enhanced by half-opening and touched with lingering slumber.
9.4

mṛdupadamadhirūḍhā mañjubhiḥ śiñjitaiḥ svai-rupadiśatu janānāmutsavārambhavārtām ||
The auspicious moment established by the authoritative teaching of Śeṣa is approaching; / therefore here, O Raṅganātha, mounted by your tender foot, / may this foot-protector, by its sweet tinklings, / declare to the people the news of the festival's commencement.
9.5
raṅgādhīśa marudgaṇasya makuṭādāmnāyavṛndasya vā pratyānīya samarpitā vidhimukhairvārakramādāgataiḥ |
vāhārohaṇasambhṛtaṃ śramabharaṃ samyagvinetuṃ kṣamā līlāsañcaraṇapriyā spṛśatu te pādāmbujaṃ pādukā ||
O Sovereign of Raṅgam, brought back and offered from the crown of the host of gods / or of the assembly of the Vedas by Brahmā and the others who have arrived in order of their turns, / able to remove completely the burden of fatigue accumulated from riding mounts, / may the sandal, fond of playful strolling, touch your lotus foot.

A million actions have unfolded in manifold ways in due order; / this second half of your day has now dawned; / brought and placed by Nīlā's companions, / the jewel sandal urges you, O Lord, to bathe.

As a host of lamps is displayed by the divine apsarases, / O supreme King of Raṅgam, at this lovely onset of night, / may this protectress of your feet, moving with grace, / herself lead you to the seat for the wave-offering.
9.8
āsanāducitamāsanāntaraṃ raṅganātha yadi gantumīhase |
sannatena vidhinā samarpitāṃ saprasādamadhiroha pādukām ||
If from this seat to another suitable seat, / O Raṅganātha, you desire to go, / with favor mount upon the sandal / presented by the bowing Brahmā.
