> One seized by ogres should use the Hārivarṇa as the brahman's sāman.
> When the descendants of Aṅgiras were going to the heavenly world, ogres followed them from these worlds.
> They desired: 'May we strike away the ogres.'
> Harivarṇa Āṅgirasa saw this sāman.
> With it he praised.
> With it they struck away the ogres from these worlds.
> With 'hariśriyam' \[they struck them away\] from this world, with 'virājasi' from the intermediate space, with 'dive-dive' from yonder world.
> Then having struck away the ogres from all these worlds, they ascended to the heavenly world.
> Having struck away the ogres from all these worlds, he ascends to the heavenly world who knows thus.
