> Breathings are indeed a dwelling.
> He thereby strips away the breathings of his hateful rival; he places the breathings in himself.
> Regarding this they say: "Those who undertake the Atirātra fall away, as it were, from this world."
> In that there is the refrain containing "okaḥ"—this world is a dwelling for a man—he thereby becomes established in this very world.
> Vītahavya Āśrāyasa, roaming about, having been expelled for a long time, desired: "May I go down into my own dwelling."
> He saw this sāman.
> He praised with it.
> He approached the refrain as "okāḥ".
> Thence indeed he went down into his own dwelling.
> This is a wish-granting sāman.
> That desire which he desired,
> that desire was fulfilled for him.
> Whatever desire one has when chanting with this sāman, that desire is fulfilled for him.
> And in that it was fortune, he went indeed to kingship.
> He attains fortune, he goes to kingship, who knows thus.
> And because Vītahavya Āśrāyasa saw it, therefore it is named "the Vaitahavya with the okaḥ-refrain".
