> this indeed is the form of the Gāyatrī;
> "whirling round with beauty", of the Triṣṭubh;
> "the bright somas, mixed with milk", of the Jagatī.
> Indeed, this is the form of the meters; with the meters the third pressing is performed.
> The third day, indeed, is like the third pressing.
> These are Gāyatrī verses having the Jagatī color, made complete through the form of the day.
> Indeed, where they make \[the ritual\] complete through the form of the day, there it succeeds.
> Things succeed for him who knows thus.
> "These juices have been shed":
> this is the anurūpa.
> Referring to what has already occurred, with "these, these", they refer back to the preceding ones.
> They proceed by the course of the Bṛhat and Rathantara, \[and\] of the ninefold and fifteenfold stomas.
> Regarding this they say: 'With the stotriya they begin the form of the sāman, with the anurūpa that of the day.'
> There are the stotriya and the anurūpa.
> The stotriya is out-breath; the anurūpa is in-breath.
> Equipped with out-breath and in-breath they thus proceed.
