> Those who enter the water with the black antelope skin, who are separated from this glory of the consecrated one, they, having caused their whole self to float, emerge together with evil. When the purificatory bath offering is completed, he then takes off the black antelope skin and sprinkles it with water, \[saying\]: 'May I not be separated from faculty, from seniority, from preeminence.' Then he gives it to whomever he considers a gift. Then he sips water: 'You are the purificatory bath of food; you are the purificatory bath of eating; you are the purificatory bath of what has been eaten.' Whatever dregs are clinging here, this is the consumption of that. Then he enters the waters. The waters are indeed a hidden refuge. He enters this hidden refuge for the non-pursuit of evil. If the waters flow, he should bathe against the stream, \[thinking\]: 'May they wash away my evil.' Indeed, all waters flow. Even those that are standing flow downwards; they carry his evil straight downwards. Husband and wife wash each other's back. The waters are indeed a vajra. With the vajra they strike away all evil. Moreover, they thus make that couple a productive pairing for generation. Having bathed, he should emerge quickly, for the swift severing of evil.
