> 'Adha kṣapā pariṣkṛtaḥ'—\[the hymn\] ends with an anuṣṭubh.
> Truly, that Udgātṛ should officiate as sacrificing priest for a king with the Rājasūya, who would make him mount the divine throne of the gods at the very Bahiṣpavamāna.
> The introductory verse is an anuṣṭubh; the final one is an anuṣṭubh.
> Of those two there are sixty-four syllables.
> Of those, the sixty \[syllables\] are the throne;
> then the four \[syllables\] are the legs of the throne.
> In this way, indeed, the Udgātṛ makes the king mount the divine throne of the gods at the very Bahiṣpavamāna.
> The ājya \[stotras\] are of both kinds;
> for two sāmans are performed here.
> Regarding this they say: only one of the two kinds should be performed, namely the Bārhatas;
> for the ājyas belong to the subject: 'May the kṣatra be consecrated through the powerful subject,' \[they think\].
> Now they also say: both kinds must be performed;
> for being consecrated, he is consecrated for the sovereignty of all;
> therefore both kinds should indeed be performed.
> They are fifteen-versed;
> the fifteen-fold is the kṣatra;
> 'May he be consecrated by the kṣatra,' \[he thinks\].
