27.6.1
Now this is the divine Anuṣṭubh:
27.6.2
Eight Vasus, eleven Rudras, twelve Ādityas, Indra as the thirty-second—thus this divine Anuṣṭubh becomes the thirty-second.
27.6.3
Now, those fifty-five which were set aside—
27.6.4
Those [amount to] forty-four Paṅktis.
27.6.5
Then, what is forty of them is the udder.
27.6.6
Then, the four that are left over are the teats.
27.6.7
This Anuṣṭubh of chant-syllables, by means of this udder and these teats, streams forth to this self of Indra, the vow day.
27.6.8
It streams forth with all food, with all saps, with all desires, with all immortality.
27.6.9
Indeed, by its overflow, the Chandomas increase both in praise-songs and in recitations.
27.6.10
For indeed, what one knows, of that nature one becomes.
27.6.11
He who, knowing thus, beyond this life attains to this self of Indra, the vow day,
27.6.12
to him this Anuṣṭubh of chant-syllables, by means of this udder and these teats, streams forth with all food, with all saps, with all desires, with all immortality,
27.6.13
[to him] who recites the tenth day thus accomplished.
27.6.14
Therefore one should recite the tenth day thus accomplished.
