15.16.1
yò 'sya prathamò 'pānáḥ sā́ paurṇamāsī́ ||1||
His expiration that is first, that is the day of full moon.
15.16.2
yò 'sya dvitī́yo 'pānáḥ sā́ṣṭakā ||2||
His expiration that is second, that is the day of the moon's quarter (áṣṭakā).
15.16.3
yò 'sya tr̥tī́yo 'pānáḥ sā́māvāsyā̀ ||3||
His expiration that is third, that is the day of new moon.
15.16.4
yò 'sya caturthò 'pānáḥ sā́ śraddhā́ ||4||
His expiration that is fourth, that is faith.
15.16.5
yò 'sya pañcamò 'pānáḥ sā́ dīkṣā́ ||5||
His expiration that is fifth, that is consecration.
15.16.6
yò 'sya ṣaṣṭhò 'pānáḥ sá yajñáḥ ||6||
His expiration that is sixth, that is sacrifice.
15.16.7
yò 'sya saptamò 'pānás tā́ imā́ dákṣiṇāḥ ||7||
His expiration that is seventh, that is these sacrificial gifts.
