19.19.1
mitráḥ pr̥thivyód akrāmat tā́ṃ púraṃ prá ṇayāmi vaḥ |
tā́m ā́ viśata tā́ṃ prá viśata sā́ vaḥ śárma ca várma ca yachatu ||1||
Mitra ascended with the earth: to that stronghold I lead you forward; that enter ye into; that enter ye; let that yield (yam) you both refuge and defense.
The comm. declares that Mitra here means Agni.
19.19.2
vāyúr antárikṣeṇód akrāmat tā́ṃ púraṃ prá ṇayāmi vaḥ |
tā́m ā́ viśata tā́ṃ prá viśata sā́ vaḥ śárma ca várma ca yachatu ||2||
Vāyu ascended with the atmosphere: to that stronghold etc. etc.
19.19.3
sū́ryo divód akrāmat tā́ṃ púraṃ prá ṇayāmi vaḥ |
tā́m ā́ viśata tā́ṃ prá viśata sā́ vaḥ śárma ca várma ca yachatu ||3||
The sun ascended with the sky: to that stronghold etc. etc.
19.19.4
candrámā nákṣatrair úd akrāmat tā́ṃ púraṃ prá ṇayāmi vaḥ |
tā́m ā́ viśata tā́ṃ prá viśata sā́ vaḥ śárma ca várma ca yachatu ||4||
The moon ascended with the asterisms: to that stronghold etc. etc.
19.19.5
sóma óṣadhībhir úd akrāmat tā́ṃ púraṃ prá ṇayāmi vaḥ |
tā́m ā́ viśata tā́ṃ prá viśata sā́ vaḥ śárma ca várma ca yachatu ||5||
Soma ascended with the herbs: to that stronghold etc. etc.
19.19.6
yajñó dákṣiṇābhir úd akrāmat tā́ṃ púraṃ prá ṇayāmi vaḥ |
tā́m ā́ viśata tā́ṃ prá viśata sā́ vaḥ śárma ca várma ca yachatu ||6||
The sacrifice ascended with the sacrificial gifts: to that stronghold etc. etc.
19.19.7
samudró nadī́bhir úd akrāmat tā́ṃ púraṃ prá ṇayāmi vaḥ |
tā́m ā́ viśata tā́ṃ prá viśata sā́ vaḥ śárma ca várma ca yachatu ||7||
The ocean ascended with the streams: to that stronghold etc. etc.
19.19.8
bráhma brahmacāríbhir úd akrāmat tā́ṃ púraṃ prá ṇayāmi vaḥ |
tā́m ā́ viśata tā́ṃ prá viśata sā́ vaḥ śárma ca várma ca yachatu ||8||
The bráhman ascended with the Vedic students: to that stronghold etc. etc.
19.19.9
índro vīryèṇód akrāmat tā́ṃ púraṃ prá ṇayāmi vaḥ |
tā́m ā́ viśata tā́ṃ prá viśata sā́ vaḥ śárma ca várma ca yachatu ||9||
Indra ascended with heroism: to that stronghold etc. etc.
19.19.10
devā́ amŕ̥tenód akrāmaṃs tā́ṃ púraṃ prá ṇayāmi vaḥ |
tā́m ā́ viśata tā́ṃ prá viśata sā́ vaḥ śárma ca várma ca yachatu ||10||
The gods ascended with the immortal (amṛ́ta): to that stronghold etc. etc.
19.19.11
prajā́patiḥ prajā́bhir úd akrāmat tā́ṃ púraṃ prá ṇayāmi vaḥ |
tā́m ā́ viśata tā́ṃ prá viśata sā́ vaḥ śárma ca várma ca yachatu ||11||
Prajāpati ascended with progeny: to that stronghold etc. etc.
