9.81.1
pra soma̍sya̱ pava̍mānasyo̱rmaya̱ indra̍sya yanti ja̱ṭhara̍ṁ su̱peśa̍saḥ |
da̱dhnā yad ī̱m unnī̍tā ya̱śasā̱ gavā̍ṁ dā̱nāya̱ śūra̍m u̱dama̍ndiṣuḥ su̱tāḥ ||
ONWARD to Indra's throat move, beauteously adorned, the waves of Soma as he purifies himself, When they, brought forward with the lovely curd of kine, effused, have cheered the Hero to bestow his gifts.
9.81.2
acchā̱ hi soma̍ḥ ka̱laśā̱m̐ asi̍ṣyada̱d atyo̱ na voḻhā̍ ra̱ghuva̍rtani̱r vṛṣā̍ |
athā̍ de̱vānā̍m u̱bhaya̍sya̱ janma̍no vi̱dvām̐ a̍śnoty a̱muta̍ i̱taś ca̱ yat ||
Hither hath Soma flowed unto the beakers, like a chariot-horse, a stallion swift upon his way. Thus, knowing both the generations, he obtains the rights and dues of Gods from yonder and from hence.
9.81.3
ā na̍ḥ soma̱ pava̍mānaḥ kirā̱ vasv indo̱ bhava̍ ma̱ghavā̱ rādha̍so ma̱haḥ |
śikṣā̍ vayodho̱ vasa̍ve̱ su ce̱tunā̱ mā no̱ gaya̍m ā̱re a̱smat parā̍ sicaḥ ||
While thou art cleansed, O Soma, scatter wealth on us; Indu, bestow great bounty as a liberal Prince. Giver of life, with wisdom help to opulence; strew not our home possessions far away from us.
9.81.4
ā na̍ḥ pū̱ṣā pava̍mānaḥ surā̱tayo̍ mi̱tro ga̍cchantu̱ varu̍ṇaḥ sa̱joṣa̍saḥ |
bṛha̱spati̍r ma̱ruto̍ vā̱yur a̱śvinā̱ tvaṣṭā̍ savi̱tā su̱yamā̱ sara̍svatī ||
Hither let Pûshan Pavamâna come to us, Varuṇa, Mitra, bountiful, of one accord, The Maruts, Aṣvins, Vâyu, and Bṛihaspati, Savitar, Tvashṭar, tractable Sarasvatî.
9.81.5
u̱bhe dyāvā̍pṛthi̱vī vi̍śvami̱nve a̍rya̱mā de̱vo adi̍tir vidhā̱tā |
bhago̱ nṛśaṁsa̍ u̱rv a1̱̍ntari̍kṣa̱ṁ viśve̍ de̱vāḥ pava̍mānaṁ juṣanta ||
Both Heaven and Earth, the all-invigorating Pair, Vidhâtar, Aditi, and Aryaman the God, Bhaga who blesses men, the spacious Firmament,– let all the Gods in Pavamâna take delight.
