sakhaḍgaḥ saśirastrāṇaḥ sarvābharaṇabhūṣitaḥ | tapanīyam agare kṛtvā paścāt tolyo narādhipaḥ ||
With sword, with helmet, adorned with all ornaments, / having placed refined gold in front, the ruler of men is then to be weighed.

indreṇedaṃ purā dattam adhirājyāptaye varam | sarvapāpapraṇāśāya sarvapuṇyavivṛddhaye ||
This excellent gift was formerly given by Indra to obtain supreme sovereignty, / for the destruction of all sins, and for the increase of all merit.
11.2.3
mahādānātidānānām idaṃ dānam anuttamam | akṣayyaphaladaṃ śreṣṭhaṃ dātṝṇāṃ śreyavardhanam ||
Among the great gifts and supreme gifts, this gift is unsurpassed; / it grants inexhaustible fruit, is the best, and increases the welfare of donors.
11.2.4
yat pāpaṃ sve kule jātais triḥ sapta puruṣaiḥ kṛtam | tat sarvaṃ naśyate kṣipram agnau tūlaṃ yathā tathā ||
Whatever sin has been committed by twenty-one generations of men born in one's family, / all that is destroyed quickly, just like cotton in fire.
11.2.5
anāmayaṃ sthānam avāpya daivair alaṅghanīyaṃ sukṛtair hiraṇmayaiḥ | suvarṇatejāḥ pravimuktapāpo divīndravad rājati sūryaloke || divīndravad rājati sūryaleketi || iti tulāpuruṣavidhiḥ samāptaḥ ||
Attaining a healthy state, unsurpassable by gods through golden good deeds, / of golden splendor, freed from sin, he shines in the world of the sun like Indra in heaven; "he shines in the world of the sun like Indra in heaven." Thus ends the rule of the man-balance.
