On \*kvinpratyayasya kuḥ\* (Pāṇini 8.2.62): on "at the end of a \*pada\*": as for what the older grammarians said, namely, "before a \*jhal\* consonant"—that is incorrect, because \*jhali\* is not proximate and it would be pointless. As for what his grandson explained—that even if \*jhali\* is continued from \*jhalo jhali\* by frog-jump (\*maṇḍūkapluti\*), there is no flaw whatsoever—that is incorrect, because it would over-apply in cases like \*spaṣṭa\*.
On \*khan\*: he who limps (\*khañjati\*) is \*khan\*; from the root \*khaj-\* meaning 'in impairment of movement'.
On \*parau vrajeḥ\*: on "and lengthening": as for what was explained by the older grammarian, namely, "the affix \*viṇ\*, and \*vṛddhi\* of the penultimate on account of having the marker \*ṇ\*"—that is incorrect, because in both the five-chapter and the ten-chapter \*Uṇādi\*, only \*kvip\* and lengthening are prescribed by this rule.
On \*skoḥ\* (Pāṇini 8.2.29): he explains that the word \*saṃyoga-\* with its genitive ending dropped is qualified by the two ending in \*jhal\*, stating: "at the end of a \*pada\*", etc. One who roasts (\*bhṛjjati\*) is \*bhṛṭ\*; the affix is \*kvip\*. On "of \*s\*": because the substitution of \*jaś\* consonants (\*jaśtva\*) is unaccomplished (\*asiddha\*), the substitution of \*ścu\* consonants (\*ścutva\*) takes place first; this is the meaning. By this, the contrary statement of the older grammarian is refuted.
