6.17.1
kaḍiduniḍidudvayasyādyaikasvarātparasya ṭaḥ.
The phoneme ṭa [replaces the part] that follows the first single vowel of the two [words] kaḍidu and niḍidu.
6.17.2
kaḍidu niḍidu ity ētayōr dvayōḥ ādyaikasvarāt parasyāvayavasya ṭakārō bhavati.
Of these two, kaḍidu and niḍidu, the phoneme ṭa replaces the segment that follows the first single vowel:
