6.33.1
tryādīnāṁ vyañjanēṣv ēva.
[The elision of the portion beginning with the penultimate consonant] of [the words] beginning with "three" [takes place] only before consonants.
6.33.2
tryādīnāṁ saṅkhyāvācināṁ upāntyavyañjanādēr avayavasya lōpō bhavati vyañjanēṣu parēṣu. na punaḥ svarādau.
Before consonants, there is elision of the portion beginning with the penultimate consonant of the numeral words beginning with "three"; but not before [a segment] beginning with a vowel.
