Taʿamei ha-Luḥot (introduction to the tables of Ibn al-Muthannā)

Ibn Ezra's Hebrew version of Ibn al-Muthannā's commentary on al-Khwārizmī's tables opens with the story, as Ibn Ezra tells it, of the Indian sage (Kanka) who came to Baghdad under al-Saffāḥ/al-Manṣūr and taught Indian astronomy and numerals, translated by Jacob b. Sheraʾ.
