10.17.1
Among them is the tomb of the pious shaykh Quṭb al-Dīn Bakhtiyār al-Kaʿkī, whose blessing is manifest and who is greatly venerated. The reason this shaykh was called al-Kaʿkī is that when those burdened with debts came to him complaining of poverty or want, or those who had daughters and could not find the means to provide them with a trousseau for their husbands, he would give whoever came to him a kaʿka (cake) of gold or silver, so that he became known on that account as al-Kaʿkī, may God have mercy on him. Among them is the tomb of the learned and excellent jurist Nūr al-Dīn al-Kurlānī, with u after the k, the r unvowelled, and n. Among them is the tomb of the jurist ʿAlāʾ al-Dīn al-Kirmānī, named after Kirmān, whose blessing is manifest and whose light shines forth; his place appears in the qibla direction of the one praying. In that place are the tombs of many pious men; may God Most High grant benefit through them.
