Then he came to the river Gang and encamped by it, and ordered the people to build. In those days I went out to his camp, and there occurred the revolt of ʿAyn al-Mulk that we have related. I stayed close to the Sultan in those days, and he gave me some of the thoroughbred horses when he distributed them among his intimates, and he counted me among them. I was present with him at the battle against ʿAyn al-Mulk and his capture, and I crossed with him the river Gang and the river Sarw to visit the tomb of the holy man Sālār ʿŪd. I have given a full account of all this.
