I put on his clothes and went to him. I had a lined blue cotton jubba which I had worn during my retreat, and when I took it off and put on the Sultan's clothes I did not recognise myself! Whenever I looked at that jubba I felt a light within me, and it stayed with me until the infidels robbed me at sea. When I reached the Sultan, he honoured me even more than I had been used to, and said to me, "I sent for you only so that you may go as my envoy to the king of China, for I know your love of travel and roaming."
