I was told that the sultan of Kawlam rode out one day beyond the city, his route passing between orchards, and with him was his son-in-law, his daughter's husband, who was of royal birth. He picked up a single mango that had fallen from one of the orchards, and the sultan was watching him. At once he ordered him to be cut through the middle; he was split in two halves, one half impaled on the right of the road and the other half on its left. The mango was cut into two halves, and a half of it was placed on each half of him, and he was left there as a lesson to onlookers!!
