ای سوسن آزاذه کحا رفتست کامسال بوقت خویش نشگفتستی مانا کی ترا خاک ودیعت بذرفت ای خاک ندانی کی چه بذرفتستی شاه زاذه چون در ضمان سعادت ، ممقر ملک ودولت باز رسیذ ، ودیذه را بحمال مبارک بذر تکحیل داذ ، آنچ حادث شذه بوذ باز گفت ، وشکایت وزیر تقریر کرد . شاه فرموذ تا دستوررا بر دار کردند ، ومنادی فرموذ کی این جزای آنکس است ، کی در خدمت ولی نعمت خویش تقصیر وغفلت روا دارذ ، واوامر ونواهی اورا بقدر وسع وامکان بامتثال استقبال نکنذ :

> “O noble lily, where have you gone, / that this year you did not bloom at your appointed time?  
> It seems that the earth accepted you as a deposit; / O earth, you do not know what you have accepted!”  
> When the prince, under the guarantee of good fortune, returned to the seat of kingdom and state, and  
> adorned his eyes with the dust of his father’s blessed beauty, he recounted what had happened  
> and stated his complaint against the vizier. The king ordered the vizier to be hanged on the gallows, and commanded a herald to proclaim:  
> “This is the recompense for one who permits shortcoming and negligence in the service of his benefactor,  
> and does not come forward to carry out his commands and prohibitions according to his ability and capacity.”
